The Gilded Age Cookbook is a great gift for Christmas. It has so many recipes, for great foods. It has Strawberry Shortcake, Tea Sandwiches, Broiled Steak, etc. This is my go-to cookbook now. There’s a lot of cool recipes for entertaining as well as for everyday cooking. This can be your go-to cookbook as well. There are also some stories, like Kitchen Innovations. About the Author Becky Libourel Diamond is a food writer, librarian and research historian who specializes in reconstructing historical recipes. I love Once Upon a Book Club! I’ve been reading with this company for approximately three years. The books are always so intriguing and worth the time. I love the presents I receive with each book, as well. I love reading, after all, I am a teacher! So, I try to read as much as I can, and stay up to date with life, so that I can talk to my students about it daily. So, the book above, is the one I read this month. It’s such a wonderful book, and the prizes are so cool too. That’s right, I said “prizes”. You get wrapped gifts, and it tells you when to open each one. The prizes go with a corresponding paragraph on the page. They are always so surprising though. I’m never expecting it to be what it is. I’ve always enjoyed reading, but these books are special because of the motivation behind the reading. Even if you don’t like to read, you’ll really enjoy doing it with a goal on certain pages. I received the Hello Book, and I love everything about it. I’m able to put information about our family in it, for the next generation, my son! It’s so amazing! The Hello Book is so great. My son started looking through it, and can’t wait til I finish adding the answers to the thoughts. It’s a great way to carry on a legacy of your family. I received The Unofficial Hogwarts Cocktail Book the other day, and I have to say, these recipes are delightful.  My 25-year-old, daughter, is thrilled with this book.  She loves Harry Potter, and though the book is “Unofficial”, she is absolutely delighted to have been able to try these recipes. My 25-year-old, daughter, loves Once Upon A Book Club.  She’s been using them for some time.  She loves that on different pages, there’s a present.  She loves reading, as well.  So, she reads to the certain page, the first present was page 13, I believe, then she opens her present where it tells her to.  The present is always something to do with the storyline. I love that Miss Olive Finds Her Furever Friends, is the second book in this series.  We did a review on the first book, Miss Olive Finds Her Furever Home, as well.  Miss Olive Finds Her Furever Friends, is a dear book.  I read it to my little one, and he loved it.  Also, my daughter is a teacher, so this will be added to her room’s library.  She’s about to start the new year, in a few short weeks, and this will be a delight to the little ones, I’m sure. I Am Awesome is a great book!  This is a trying time for my family, and this book brought a little light to our home, for my 8 year old, son.  Now, he reads it every night, with the satisfaction of knowing that our God is an Awesome God! The Inventor is Awesome, as are the things he makes, such as Grace and Zeal.  Then later Hope is introduced, and she’s really awesome.  Again, the inventor is who created her.  Soon after, Grace and Zeal go to the Inventor and talk to him, finding out that everything is Awesome! Do your children know how awesome they are?  Mine know, because we reinforce it.  My 8 year old is truly a gift from God, as I lost 2 babies in 2005.  So, he is our miracle, our Awesome child.
