The Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank was such a great anime movie.  My 11-year-old, son, sat through the entire movie, which doesn’t happen often.  He loved it, said it was fascinating.  We watched with his 25-year-old, sister, and her boyfriend.  They enjoyed it, as well.  It was fun-filled, and packed with lots of family adventure. The cast consists of:  Michael Cera, Ricky Gervais, Mel Brooks, George Takei, Aasif Mandvi, Gabriel Iglesias, Djimon Hounsou, Michelle Yeoh and Samuel L. Jackson.  Samuel L. Jackson is so great in this cartoon. I picked his voice out instantaneously. In this fun-filled family adventure, hard-on-his-luck hound named Hank (Michael Cera) finds himself in a town full of cats who need a hero to defend them from a ruthless villain’s (Ricky Gervais) evil plot to wipe their village off the map. With help from a reluctant teacher (Samuel L. Jackson) to train him, our underdog must assume the role of town samurai and team up with the villagers to save the day. The only problem… cats hate dogs! You will love this movie as much as my family does.  I would bet on that. The Casio fx-9750GIII scientific calculator is helping my son with his advanced math, this year.  It took a lot of getting used to, but he managed.  He wasn’t used to all those buttons, being his first scientific calculator.  He’s really loving it and uses it for everything he has to calculate.  “It’s not difficult to use, just takes some getting used to,” my 11-year-old said. The looks are deceiving.  You’ll think it’s difficult to use, but it’s really not.  Looks are truly deceiving.  My daughter, age 25, was able to get to the bottom of how to use the calculator in no time.  She wanted it for her schooling, but her brother needs it, for his advanced class. So, we went and got her an identical one, from Walmart. The campaign aims to encourage parents to talk about the importance of school zone safety with their children and teen drivers. It also advises motorists to take extra caution when traveling through school zones or near school buses. “School zone speed limits, AAA School Safety Patrollers and crossing guards are in place to save lives,” said Terri Rae Anthony, safety advisor for AAA East Central. “Since children can move quickly and cross the road unexpectedly, it is important to obey speed limits and be ready to stop at a moment’s notice.” Speed is a crucial factor in protecting the lives of students as they make their way to class. According to the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety, a pedestrian struck by a vehicle traveling at 20 mph is about two-thirds less likely to be killed as compared to a pedestrian struck by a vehicle traveling at 30 mph. Baketivity was a hit with us this Summer.  My 11-year-old son had so much fun baking.  He loved that he received a kit each month, and he jumped right in. The 3 kits we received were: Earth Day Chocolate Chip Cookie Lemonade Cheesecake Cupcakes Dirt Kit with worms These kits were so fun to make, with my son.  He enjoyed it, and asked me to get another subscription, so I did.  He says he can’t wait to get September’s kit.  Not sure what we will receive yet, but we actually made and ate these things so fast, I didn’t even get pictures. The kits were enjoyed by our family, and some even helped create the treats.  It was so fun to get dirty with my family, well not really dirty, but getting our hands wet.  It was my son’s first time baking. Reading Kingdom has helped my third grade to read so much better during the Summer.  It’s targeted for Kindergarten to Third Grade.  She loves it, and has consistently used it over the Summer.  I can’t wait to see her first report card, and see how her grades have improved. While using Reading Kingdom, she has found so many programs, and loves every program she’s engaged with.  There are many activities, as well.  Your child will love this program too. EcoLips is my favorite brand for moisturizing my lips.  It’s a great brand, with great products.  Including the new Vegan Brazilian Lip Tints.  These are fantastic.  I’ve been using them for a week now, and my lips are so soft, my husband loves them.  The colors are fantastic, and the names are wonderful. I love Blissful EcoLips the most.  It’s color is light, but you can still see the color.  I also love the moisture my lips feel after wearing it for a while.  It doesn’t wear off easily, and can be used for hours, without renewing the look.
