Miss Olive Finds Her Furever Home By Susan Marie & Miss Olive
2019 Fall Gift Guide / September 11, 2019

Miss Olive Finds Her Furever Home is a true story, and a great book.  We enjoyed reading it together, my son, age 8, and I.  My daughter, age 22, then took it to school, for her class to read.  The class just loved the book. ” Miss Olive is so special,” one child exclaimed to my daughter.  And, she said, “Yes, Miss Olive is special!” Miss Olive was a rescue pup, that Susan Marie took in.  Miss Olive is a great dog, and host of The Doggy Diva Show.  She’s also the author of “Diva Delights”, and “Miss Olive’s Favorite Things”. Miss Olive is a tiny, rescued Italian Greyhound who was adopted from the Italian Greyhound Rescue Gulf Coast into her loving “forever” home in 2015. Miss Olive Finds Her “forever” Home is the first book in the heartwarming and inspirational seris “The Doggy Diva Diaries”.  When we first meet Miss Olive, she is a sad and lonely little pup hoping to find a loving family and her “forever” home.  Wit the help of her magical fairy dog-mother “Sophia the Doggy Diva,” Miss Olive learns a valuable life lesson.  It doesn’t matter what you look like on the outside.  It’s the…

Book Tour: A Tiger Like Me By: Michael Engler
2019 Book Tours / August 30, 2019

A Tiger Like Me is such a cute little story, with lots of awes.  My 8 year old loves it, and my 22 year old took it to class to read to her students, in 2nd grade.  She said they really enjoyed it, and wanted to hear it over again.  My daughter said she can’t wait to read it to her next class.  The kids really loved it, and some even said they could relate to the story.  This little book will be great for years to come, for the kids Sarah teaches. Life is more fun when you’re a tiger like me! A little boy—um, no, a tiger!—tells us all about what he gets up to on an ordinary day: how he wakes up in his tiger den, what he eats for breakfast at his feeding spot, and how little tigers feel when they are wide awake, hungry, thirsty, or in the mood for adventures. But at night, even the wildest of tigers is happy to curl up in bed with Tiger-Mom and Tiger-Dad and become a cuddly little tiger cub. With warm illustrations and playful text, this delightful story first published in Germany shows just how sweet life…

We Spent The Week At Cedar Point

We really enjoyed our time at Cedar Point, this week.  There’s so much to do, and our kids had a blast!  We enjoy it, every time we visit Cedar Point.  We stayed at Hotel Breakers, and enjoyed the beach, as well.  The waves were high, but Jacob didn’t care, we went out in the lake, and had a good time.  While Sarah, and my wife, sat on the beach to watch. We started out slow, on the old time cars, and rode the train.  We went to Forbidden Frontier and panned for gems, which the kids really loved!  We walked and walked the park, until we couldn’t walk anymore.  I went on the Maverick, with my daughter, which was a blast.  The Gemini was another great ride.  The Gate Keeper was fun too!  Now I understand why Cedar Point is called, “The Roller Coaster Capital of the World”. We sat and watched Vertical Impact, and it was amazing.  Watching the dancers, athletes, and more.  The show lasted about 25 minutes, and it gave us a break from walking through the park.  My wife said her fitbit never saw so many steps! We ate at Hugo’s, which is a little Italian…

Book Tour: What If Everybody Thought That?
2019 Book Tours / August 16, 2019

What If Everybody Thought That? by Ellen Javernick is a great book.  I read it with my 8 year old, yesterday.  He really got the gist of it.  In the book, they talk about what some kids, and adults, think in their head, but it shows overcoming things, and making it through, even with other peoples judgment.  This is a great book, for anyone who thinks “What If Everybody Thought That?” My 22 year old, daughter, is in her final year of College, to become a Teacher.  I think this book will be great in her future classroom.  Any child, trying to overcome something, with the world’s judgment, will be able to look at this book, and say, “I can do this”.  That’s what’s important to me. What If Everybody Thought That? will give inspiration to children, all over the place.  I couldn’t believe how great of a book this is.  It makes complete sense, and is true.  And, this book is a part of so much more.  Check out the other books by Ellen Javernick. If you see someone in a wheelchair, you might think he or she couldn’t compete in a race. But…you might be wrong. What if you…

Book Tour: Pirates Don’t Go To Kindergarten! By Lisa Robinson
2019 Book Tours / August 7, 2019

Pirates Don’t Go To Kindergarten! is a supreme book.  If you have a child who is afraid to go to the next level in school, this book is for you.  See Emma was in Preschool, and was afraid to move up to Kindergarten, but her Preschool teacher reassured her, and she went ahead.  It’s a fantastic book to read to your little ones, especially right before school starts. My little one is going to 3rd grade, but we read this together, and he loved it.  My daughter is going into her last year of college, to be a teacher, and she can’t wait to add it to her books, for when she starts teaching.  She said, Pirates Don’t Go To Kindergarten! is a special book that I think the kids I get will love”.  I think she’s right. Jacob is afraid of moving up, every year, because there’s change.  This book has helped him see that change can be good.  And, I really enjoyed reading it, with Jacob. Pirates Don’t Go To Kindergarten! is very inexpensive, at only $6.99, and is a great asset for the new school year.  You will love it, and so will your little ones. I can’t…

Welch’s is great for the daily snack
2019 Summer Gift Guide / July 31, 2019

We love Welch’s snacks in our home.  My 8 year old can’t get enough, and my 22 year old devours them.  My husband, and I, really like them too.  They are healthy, and delicious.  We’ve been snacking on them for years.  And, they curve your craving for sweet stuff, as well. The Welch’s Fruit Snacks are so healthy.  They have real fruit juice in them, and a great source for energy.  The Berries N Cherries is my favorite.  They are super, and there’s a whole bunch of flavors.  You need to try each and every one.  We have.  They are great for a mid-day snack, or even just an evening snack, before bed.  Whenever you choose to eat Welch’s, you will love them too. The Welch’s Fruit Rolls are so yummy.  We buy these over other brands, because put simply, they taste better.  Made with real fruit and super healthy.  I will be sending these to school, with Jacob, once school starts.  I can’t get enough of them, though.  So, I’ll send them if there’s any left. There’s also Welch’s Fruit N Yogurt Snacks.  They are fabulous.  I’ve been eating these for a while, too.  I love the Yogurt taste! …

2019 Summer Gift Guide / July 30, 2019

We recently received a package from ZURUtoys, and it’s the best thing I’ve gotten all Summer.  My 8 year old went crazy of the X-Shot Fast Fill water guns.  He has had a blast, since he’s received the guns.  His sister, age 22, is playing too.  They go outside, and the guns are fast fill, in the pool. We’ve loved Bunch o Balloons self sealing, rapid filling, water balloons, since last Summer, so getting these, was an added bonus.  We took the hose and filled them up, and the kids had so much fun busting them on each other.  There’s 100 balloons in each packet.  That’s enough for some fun.  We blew up 3 packages, and the kids even started throwing them at me, so I threw them back.  It’s been the highlight of my Summer, playing with my kids outside. The Missing Money #MoneyLessons

The Missing Money is truly a great book.  It’ll teach your kids about banking, and will help them to understand the concept.  My 8 year old, Jacob, loves this book.  And, my 22 year old, Sarah, who is going to school to be a teacher, can’t wait to implement this book in her classroom. Jacob said he learned a lot, and Sarah said she is super excited about this book.  She’ll be teaching this year, as part of student teaching, and can read this story in class.  She’s really looking forward to telling the kids about the Money Monsters. Your child will love this story, as much as mine do.  It’s a real good source for explaining the bank, ATM, and armored truck, to you family.  I love how it’s all explained, and will read it again, before Jacob gets his own account. Kai, the little boy on the cover, will get ATM, bank, and armored truck all explained to him.  Making it easier for you to explain to your young ones, so they understand.  This book is great. The Missing Money is inexpensive, and a great resource to have.  Get yours now!  Order on the link below. Also, I’ll…

There’s A Monkey In My Backpack!
2019 Summer Gift Guide / July 18, 2019

My 22 year old, daughter, who is a student, becoming a teacher, just finished reading There’s A Monkey In My Backpack! by Don M. Winn, and loved it.  She says she can’t wait to implement it, in the classroom, this Spring.  She’ll be student teaching her final semester, and she says it’ll be good for the kids she is teaching. I love the book, and read it to my son, who is going into the Third Grade, just like in the book.  He really enjoyed reading it, as well. I really can’t wait for Sarah to take it into the classroom, so the kids can hear this amazing story.  See, Anna has a friend, that’s a Monkey; or does she?  You will have to read the book to find out, I don’t want to give too much away.  It’s a very interesting story, and I understood it, as well as my kids did.  I get it, and I remember school, and having the same issues as Anna. Anna has a problem! There’s a monkey who goes everywhere with her–even to school! He never leaves Anna alone. He makes so much trouble for her that she wonders if she will ever…
