Friendly Fables has Wonderful Books!
2021 Valentine's Gift Guide , kids , Reviews / February 4, 2021

I love the books, from Friendly Fables.  They are extraordinary, and each is autographed by the Author.  My daughter, age 23, is going to save them, so when she has kids, they will have them.  She’s also an elementary teacher, so this is good for her to read to her class.  Farts is the cutest! There’s so much to see at Friendly Fables.  They have more than just books.  There’s music, merchandise, books, etc.  You really need to take a look.  I’m sure you will find something you love. Farts, by Alexis Alexander, has to be the cutest thing ever.  It’s so funny, too.   My 9 year old has read it 100 times, and doesn’t want to give it to his sister!  We even listened to it on YouTube.  It’s great.  You should really look into getting this book. Features: This is from our ‘Rap-A-Long’ series and is a Friendly Fables best seller! We are sure it will become a favourite in your house and is recommended for children 10 and under, although most adults love it too, it’s a gas!! ‘It’s funny when my grandma farts because she always giggles. My parents’ bed farts are the worst when I’m in…

Cat Sticks Trailer & More
Movies / January 21, 2019

SYNOPSIS: On a rainy night in Calcutta a group of desperate addicts chase brown sugar, but the permanent intoxication they seek proves elusive. Cat Sticks weaves their stories into a chiaroscuro, traverses with them through states high and low, spaces real and unreal. A relentless downpour plays backdrop to lives balanced on a precarious high. Some of them seek a release, while others do not seem to want the night to end.   Ronny Sen brings the bold style of his fine art photography to this story about an underground community of junkies who scrounge a living on the streets of Kolkata. Stunning compositions capture his characters emerging from and disappearing into inky blackness, intermittently drenched in rain. At the core of Sen’s feature debut are the human connections between these forgotten souls—the director has clearly immersed himself in this world, and captures its textures, language and mannerisms with great sensitivity and style. He masterfully weaves sequences of pure cinema, rendered with modern-dance informed movement, into his raw and gritty narrative. ‘Cat Sticks’ is one of the most gorgeous and affecting films Slamdance has presented in recent memory.     Director: Ronny Sen Writer: Ronny Sen and Soumyak Kanti DeBiswas…

2016 Holiday Gift Guide / October 3, 2016

I want to first say, “This book is awesome”.  My 19 year old, daughter’s, boyfriend (Josh) sat down and looked through the entire book.  Even finding a site they had seen over the Summer.  The book is super cool, and a perfect gift for anyone who loves the Weird. Josh was so excited when he saw “Junkyard Art” on pages 196-197.  He said he remembers passing that particular place on a trip they took, to Erie Pennsylvania, over the Summer.  Sarah, my daughter, was in aww, to see it in Ripley’s book.  “It’s fun when you see something in the book, that you saw in person,” Sarah said.  And, Josh was truly amazed.  He said “I knew I was interested in Ripley’s book, but now I’m really interested.”  Then they sat and read about “Junkyard Art”. There’s so much to see in the Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Book this year.  And, Josh found that out.  Looking at the Index, it’s just not enough.  You really have to sit down and take the time to look through the entire book.  You will find so many things that are interesting. Josh took the book home, so I haven’t gotten a good…
