Tips & Suggestions for Drivers as Summer Ends, School Begins As children return to school, AAA East Central has launched its annual School’s Open – Drive Carefully campaign. The campaign aims to encourage parents to talk about the importance of school zone safety with their children and teen drivers. It also advises motorists to take extra caution when traveling through school zones or near school buses. “School zone speed limits, AAA School Safety Patrollers and crossing guards are in place to save lives,” said Terri Rae Anthony, safety advisor for AAA East Central. “Since children can move quickly and cross the road unexpectedly, it is important to obey speed limits and be ready to stop at a moment’s notice.” Speed is a crucial factor in protecting the lives of students as they make their way to class. According to the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety, a pedestrian struck by a vehicle traveling at 20 mph is about two-thirds less likely to be killed as compared to a pedestrian struck by a vehicle traveling at 30 mph. We Spent The Week At Cedar Point

We really enjoyed our time at Cedar Point, this week.  There’s so much to do, and our kids had a blast!  We enjoy it, every time we visit Cedar Point.  We stayed at Hotel Breakers, and enjoyed the beach, as well.  The waves were high, but Jacob didn’t care, we went out in the lake, and had a good time.  While Sarah, and my wife, sat on the beach to watch. We started out slow, on the old time cars, and rode the train.  We went to Forbidden Frontier and panned for gems, which the kids really loved!  We walked and walked the park, until we couldn’t walk anymore.  I went on the Maverick, with my daughter, which was a blast.  The Gemini was another great ride.  The Gate Keeper was fun too!  Now I understand why Cedar Point is called, “The Roller Coaster Capital of the World”. We sat and watched Vertical Impact, and it was amazing.  Watching the dancers, athletes, and more.  The show lasted about 25 minutes, and it gave us a break from walking through the park.  My wife said her fitbit never saw so many steps!
