A Heartwarming Story About Kindness, Love and Friendship ~ Wonder

Posted on February 11, 2018 in 2018 Valentine's Day Gift Guide Movies

Wonder was an incredibly inspiring film.  My 20 year old cried, and my 6 year old really watched with care.  Sarah, my 20 year old, is going to College to become a teacher.  So this was a good film for her to watch.  She said it inspired her to be the best that she could be.  My 6 year old says “I’ll never bully anyone, Mommy.”  He saw how hurt Auggie was, and said he doesn’t want to do that to anyone.

The incredibly moving and heartfelt family film, Wonder, is a great film for you to sit down with your family and watch tonight.

Julia Roberts, & Owen Wilson, play great parents in this film.  They are consoling, and inspirational.

Wonder follows the inspiring story of the Pullman family, whose youngest child, Auggie, is a boy born with facial differences.  When Auggie enters  elementary school for the first time, his extraordinary journey unites his family, his school, and his community, and proves that you can’t blend in when you were born to stand out.

You can purchase Wonder, starting February 13, and you will really enjoy it, even with an added tear, or two.

Below are some activities you can enjoy with your family:

My family has enjoyed both of these activities.  We worked on them together, and they came out great.  You, too, will enjoy these activities with your kids.

Never Stop Reaching For Your Dreams LEAP!

Posted on February 11, 2018 in Movies

LEAP! is a great film, with lots of inspiration.  It’s a family film, and my kids loved watching it, as did I.  It teaches you to follow your dreams, and never stop at anything less.  This truly is a remarkable film.  Leap! teaches that you should never let go of your dreams.  My 6 year old, son, and 20 year old, daughter, watched it eagerly to see the ending.  When Felcie succeeds, both kids cried.  They were so excited to see her follow her dreams, and do what she wanted to do.

Eleven year old orphan Felcie has one dream – to go to Paris and become a dancer.  Deteremined to succeed, Felicie finds her mentor in the tough and mysterious custodian, Odette, who, along with Victor’s encouraging friendship, help her reach the stars.

With an all-new original song by Carly Rae Jepsen, Leap! tells the heartwarming tale of one girl’s dream to become a dancer in Paris. It arrives on Digital HD on November 7 and on Blu-ray™, DVD and On Demand on November 21 from Lionsgate Home Entertainment.

Woody Woodpecker coming to DVD February 6

Posted on February 5, 2018 in Movies

We’ve all watched Woody Woodpecker growing up.  Now we can watch this fabulous movie.  My 6 year old couldn’t get enough.  My 20 year old couldn’t stop laughing, and my husband wouldn’t take his eyes off of the television.

Woody Woodpecker is a great film.  We’ve watched it around 3 times already.  It’s the first time that my 6 year old, son, has ever seen Woody, in action.  This is a great film for “kids” of all ages.

Woody Woodpecker is back with his signature laugh, wacky antics and wisecracks in his first ever live-action/animated film. Woody must protect his forest home from Lance Walters (Omundson), who starts building his dream mansion in the forest with his son, Tommy (Verchere), and fiancée, Vanessa (Ayala). To make matters worse, Woody must avoid the clutches of two grizzly poachers. With a series of crazy hijinks to sabotage their plans, Woody proves he’ll stop at nothing to defend his turf. Get ready for laughs in this hilarious comedy about everyone’s favorite woodpecker!

Woody Woodpecker is a legendary icon created by Walter Lantz in 1940. Woody Woodpecker & Friends have entertained kids for more than 75 years! Woody Woodpecker cartoons appeared in theaters until they debuted on television in 1957. Woody’s popularity resulted in new shows airing across several decades. “The Woody Woodpecker Show” has been broadcast in over 155 territories and 105 languages worldwide. He is one of the most memorable cartoon characters in animation history, featuring the little red –headed bird with the unforgettable laugh, who’s forever pecking his way out of trouble. Woody has evolved from a cartoon TV character to a Pop Culture Icon with his fearlessness, crazy antics and smarts.
