This Frugal Family

We watched Norm of the North King Sized Adventure over the weekend, and it was so entertaining.  My 8 year old sat through the entire movie, and he usually doesn’t do that.  If you haven’t watched Norm of the North yet, you really need to.  Then, invest in Norm of the North King Sized Adventure.  Norm, and his friends, embark on an adventure for the times.  You don’t want to miss this movie, when it comes out tomorrow. While Norm and his friends are preparing to celebrate his grandfather’s wedding, trouble is stirring in Misty Mountain. There, Norm meets an archaeologist named Jin and learns that a priceless Chinese artifact has been stolen by Dexter, Jin’s old partner. With the help of his lemming friends, Norm must embark on a journey across the world to help recover the artifact and return it to its rightful place. Can Norm keep his word to his new friend Jin and return home in time for his grandfather’s wedding? My son is 7, and Gilly The Grateful Superohero has taught him to be grateful for what he has.  Love, etc. are great things to receive.  He reads this book every night now, before bed.  It’s a great book for teaching kids of all ages the power of gratitude.  Ruth King dedicated this book to her dad.  I can understand why. Bobbie doesn’t realize all that he has, until Gilly shows him.  Jacob, my 7 year old, can really relate to this book.  And now he has so much more respect, and gratitude.  I can’t get over the fact that he reads it, again and again.  I’m proud of all Jacob is becoming.  When Jacob outgrows Gilly; I will save the book, for the future.
